TAKE CARE
To ensure that your clothing continues to perform at its best and last longer, it makes good sense to take care of it in the best possible way.
Below we share a few tips that can help you extend the life of your clothes.
1. WASH LESS
WASH COLD
/ When washing your clothes it could be a good idea to try washing at a lower temperature to save energy – and to protect your clothes.
/ If your garment isn’t dirty but just needs to be freshened up, rather than washing it, try hanging it outside or in a steamy bathroom to breathe first.
/To avoid your clothes from changing during wash, we always recommend to you follow the washing instructions on the clothes. This will allow your clothes to retain their actual colour and quality for as long as possible.

2. TAKE CARE OF YOUR COTTON
Cotton can withstand most things – in the same way, it can endure being washed, dried and exposed to heat without big problems. But always consider, if your garment needs washing or simply air.
/ Since cotton tends to absorb colour more than other qualities, we recommend to always washing your clothes in the same colour.
/Cotton can shrink by being washed at too high temperatures or tumble dried, we therefore recommend always paying attention to the washing instructions in your clothes.
3. TAKE CARE
OF YOUR WOOL
Wool is really good for insulating because it creates a barrier between heat and cold. Besides being breathable, wool is to some extent, also water repellent. Notice how you with coats and other outerwear made of wool, actually can shake off most of the water after a walk in the rain, if the water has not sat for long.
/ The less you wash your wool styles, the better. In this way you don’t damage the intelligent fibres that are the reason why wool is strong and breathable.
/ If you absolutely have to wash it, we recommend that you always choose a ‘Wool program’. Most washing machines have this installed.
4. DRY
NATURALLY
There is something special about the feeling (and smell) of fresh and air-dried laundry. Not only does it feel nice on the skin it doesn’t damage certain fibres in your clothes. Tumble drying is a method that uses a lot of energy and very often changes the look of your clothes making them shrink or fade in colour.
/ Tumble dry only if necessary – and at a low temperature to ensure that your clothes don’t shrink.
/ Air-drying is less harmful to the planet and better for your skin. It also protects your clothes’ fibres better.
5. DOWN TO
THE DETAILS
A good idea is to treat styles with delicate details such as zippers, buttons, sequins, glitter, lace, rivets or embroidery, with extra care. We recommend that you always wash inside-out or use a laundry bag for each piece of clothing to protect it the best possible. These details are most often handmade and therefore vulnerable.
/ Always wash delicate styles inside-out or in a laundry bag.
/ Make sure that the zippers in the clothes are zipped, so that you avoid damaging the clothes, the zipper itself or the washing machine.
6. FOLD YOUR KNITWEAR
Instead of hanging your knit-styles you should consider folding them. Hanging can dagame their appearance and change
/ Correct storage can prolong the lifespan and appearance of your garment. Store your knitwear somewhere cool, spacy and dry.
/ Never hang your knit-style as it might stretch and get misshaped. To further keep garments from being deformed, hang them on wooden or padded hangers.
/ We recommend not overfilling your wardrobe, as your wool/knit-styles need to breathe/space – this will also prevent them from wrinkling and losing structure from rubbing against each other.
7. TAKE CARE
OF VISCOSE
A big advantage of viscose is that you can breathe in the material because it absorbs water and steam really well - and then it dries quickly. Viscose loses 50% of its strength when wet and must therefore not be soaked. You also need to be extra careful about pulling and twisting it. In addition, the viscose does not benefit from being washed at too high temperatures. Therefore, always follow the washing instructions in the clothes.
/ Viscose can shrink a few inches when washed, so you can advantageously buy a size with plenty of space.
/ Remember that it is always a good idea to wash and iron your clothes inside out so that you preserve the beautiful surfaces.
8. AIR DRY
YOUR JEANS
Hooray, for jeans. Not only are they super durable but also grateful. They hardly curl and rarely need to be washed. Jeans can be used several times without being washed. Jeans become more comfortable the more you wear them, and the colours last longer the less you wash them. Win!
/ Hang them in the bathroom while you take a bath - the steam will keep your jeans fresh and odourless.
/ Air dry your jeans outside or hang them in a drying room.
/ A simple but genius trick to remove smell without washing? Put your jeans in a bag and throw them into your freezer for a couple of hours – and ta-da!
