OUR STORES
We understand that we only have made small steps towards the many challenges that need to be addressed – we continue going in this direction and creating new opportunities.
A big step is reducing electricity usage in owned and operated stores – and replacing it with solar technologies. Additionally, our parent company, Heartland, has completed the construction of Northern Europe's largest solar plant. Covering all owned and operated buildings, including our stores.
RETURN SYSTEM
RECYCLING POINT IN STORES
We believe in the second life of our products, that is why we are testing a new recycling-system in our store at Søndergade, Denmark. The ambition is to reduce waste by recycling worn and used garments.
/ We are bringing old clothes back to their basic material level – for them to be reprocessed and used in/as new materials.
/ We deliver the preloved garments to our partners after collecting them. The garments are then arranged and recirculated based on their condition.
/ With a ‘Thank You’ voucher we encourage our customers to return with more preloved garments.
PACKAGING & INVENTORY
We pack more considerable and always look for ways where a more innovative packing process can be applied. From hangers made of recycled textiles, and mannequins produced from recycled paper fibres – to special made podiums and decorations from a small start-up, reusing plastic waste. VERO MODA stays committed to securing small steps into a more sustainable future and we continue working in new innovative ways.
/ 100 % Hangers made of recycled materials.
/ Mannequins made of recycled plastics.
/ Aim to only use FSC-certified wood.
ELECTRICITY
We have reduced our electricity consumption. A big step is reducing electricity usage in owned and operated stores and replacing it with solar technologies. We are proud to say that our stores in Denmark are now covered by solar energy.
/ Full LED light set-up in our stores to reduce energy consumption.
/ Renewable energy in our own stores. We work to guarantee that the energy we use in all our stores (forwardly looking this also applies to headquarters and logistics) comes from renewable energy sources.
